Flagler County
is the fastest growing county in the country. There is a surge of people relocating to the area, and thus Flagler Beach is on tract to restore and beautify the community. The prime location, first-class amenities, historic ruins, tranquil waterways and fresh water lakes, makes it one of the state’s best kept secrets. Some of the plans for the future include the widening of State Route 100, also a new Town Center for Palm Coast and the construction of the Matanzas Woods I-95 overpass. Also underway are plans for a $15 million dollar government complex that will house both the schools’ administrative operation and county offices, and a one million dollar youth center next to Flagler Palm Coast High School. Plans are also in the works to upgrade the Flagler County Airport. The renovation of the historic Marineland Oceanarium is an exciting project for Flagler County. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Marineland will be taking new shape in the years to come, complete with a water front community, marina and restaurants.
